    THIS AUCTION IS FOR TWO INCREDIBLY FIGURED GIANT BOOKMATCHED COCOBOLO SLABS THAT ARE 66 INCHES LONG X 6.75 INCHES WIDE X 1.5 INCHES THICK.We have been selling cocobolo rosewood (scientific name dalbergia retusa) for many years. Cocobolo this wide and long is very difficult to find. We have not seen slabs like this for years!These are the pictures of the cocobolo slabs for sale in this listing. These slabs are incredibly figured.This will make some amazing bowls, pepper mills, vases, turnings, guitars or other musical instruments. This slab is 1.5 inches thick and 66 inches long and 6.75 inches wide. The boards pictured are the actual cocobolo slabs for sale in this listing. There is no sapwood/white wood on these cocobolo slabs.This listing is for 9.281 board feet of true rosewood cocobolo. These dimensions are very hard to find.     These slabs are from an extremely dry area in Nicaragua and have very tight growth rings and lots of burls, swirls, and beautiful colors (reds, yellows, oranges, and lots of black stripes!). These slabs have been end sealed with anchorseal wax (an inert, emulsified bees wax that is organic and so safe you could eat it) so that the wood dries evenly and slowly in our kilns. We have low temperature dehumidifaction kilns so the wood dries slowly and will not have stresses, checking, and problems associated with
