    Description

Antique doll with head and torso made of bisque porcelain, and arms and legs most likely a composite.
    *
Doll has molded, painted hair, eyes, and mouth.  Head, arms, and legs turn/swivel; they are jointed at the body (strung with elastic).  This doll has been with one family, passed down through three generations.  Believe this to be German-made from the late 1800's or early 1900's.
The doll's head and torso are in wonderful condition.  No cracks or chips in the bisque. There is a blemish on the back, behind the left shoulder (see photo), but it most likely came with this from the factory. The paint does have micro-cracks, mostly on the face, and is only slightly worn on the back of the head (see photo).
There is a split in the right foot, and a couple more in the upper right thigh area (see photos).  The fingers of the left hand have a dirty appearance, caused by the paint being worn in that area.
Comes with hand-knitted, two-piece outfit (hood is a separate piece).  There are several small holes in the outfit (see photos), but it is otherwise in very good condition.

Above determination of doll composition is made to the best of my ability, with the information available.  I'm fairly confident that it's correct, but I claim no expertise in dolls.
