This piece is fashioned of cold-cast bronze. Each piece is meticulously created to scale with remarkable detail. Each is then hand painted to render accurate and natural colors.
This realistic figurine is the work of Norman N. Deaton. Keen naturalists, Normand and his brother Herman supplemented their flair for capturing the subtleties of nature through study or direct observation. Their works are represented in the permanent collections of several museums in the United and abroad

including The Smithsonian Institution and The National Geographic Society.
